The Ultimate Tool for Sexual Healing
I will be quite frank with you from the get-go—I have never been a big fan of the cookie-cutter genre that generally typifies Hollywood cinema today, preferring the more darkly realistic and thought-provoking creations of the independent fringe film companies and production houses of Europe, South America, or the Orient. But when my roommate recently informed me that he had received the DVD of "Short Bus" from Netflix—and after paraphrasing the storyline from the first ten minutes or so that he had seen recently while on vacation with friends—I felt an instantaneous aversion to viewing it come welling up from a deeply rooted source that, at the time, defied all rational explanation.

However, upon further scrutiny—and a couple days worth of genuine investigation into the source of my antipathy—I realized that, from my perspective as a spiritual healer, the timing of this movie's release could potentially hold the key to an enormous level of sexual healing, for not only myself, but for the planet as a whole. And as one who is faithfully committed to his personal spiritual path and the transmutation process of the former Aeons' dross and karmic effluvia on a daily basis, I can honestly say that from my experience, this film allowed me to sublimely engage with a very critical piece of my own karmic puzzle, which could ultimately lead me to a reconciliation with my own past relationship abuses, thereby allowing me to boldly attack outdated patterns of behavior and belief from a keener and more critical perspective.

There can be no doubt that for so many lifetimes throughout this and previous cycles of civilization, we all have been deeply entrenched in the abuse of earthly power—either as victim or victimizer—which has led to the critical mass and present global crisis we now face on so many levels. As both history and current events are now revealing, through the present massive acceleration of human evolution and conscious awakening, when we block or in any way impede the free-flow of energy between our higher (spiritual) and lower (earthly) energy circuits (or chakras), we can be sure of one thing—the manifestation of illness, strife, imbalance, and disease on the physical level is not far behind.

In my humble opinion, it is precisely this repression and widespread denial of the God-decreed expression of life-force (kundalini) energy—through traditional religious indoctrination, past-life memories of abuse and/or victimization, or even our ancient vows of chastity in religious orders—that destabilizes the very core of our fundamental health and wholeness. Ironically, this is precisely the same energy (Divine Love) in physical form that creates the basis of all Life in the Universe. And since everyone without exception must at some point face themselves in the mirror of reconciliation, through the process of emotional clearing and transmutation of our karmic debt—either in this lifetime or the next, or perhaps somewhere in between—I highly recommend that all of you arrange to view this movie as soon as possible, with close friends, by yourself, or even as the backdrop of a racy blind date, if you're so inclined, LOL! After all, the old adage still holds true—What you resist persists!

Let me be very clear on this one point—this is NOT a "gay erotic film"! This is a remarkably probing journey into the arena of prevalent and long-standing social taboos in search of answers to what it means for people to express their love for each another in a coherent and satisfying way. Whether you are straight, gay, bisexual, transgender, or hermaphrodite; polyamorous, monogamous, or asexual; male, female, or androgynous; into fetish, kink, or "behind-closed-doors intercourse"; once you get past the graphic sexual content and artistically exposed body parts flying around, you will uncover a beautifully orchestrated and geniusly crafted palimpsest that exposes the living breathing inter-relation of ordinary everyday adults in the New York City underground sex-party scene, which on the surface may be dismissed by many, if not most, opponents as cult-like and perverse. Nonetheless, should you choose to honor this initial knee-jerk reaction, it is this critic's opinion that you are doing yourself and your "inner child" a grave disservice by passing up a great opportunity for soul progress.

This is truly an ingenious masterpiece that, not unlike the multiple layers of an onion (or artichoke, LOL) has the infinite potential to consciously awaken and expand your own self-acceptance to whatever extent you are comfortable with confronting, thereby mirroring those aspects of your deepest emotional trappings; leaving you utterly raw in the process, yet renewed and forgiven in a way that will unmask the sinister childhood delusions you may have been told in the local parish confessional. The release this movie offers the discerning viewer can be far more profound than the momentary orgasm of any earthly fantasies. "Short Bus" is a now-moment meeting place where time stands still and your wildest dreams can and do come true. But don’t take my word for it. Watch it, and then decide for yourself.
